Not quite on a par with Gulliver, but I've had a lot of fun!

Last updated 14 July, 2010

I began travelling in 1964 with a trip to Europe by ship, stopping off at Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), Aden, Cairo and landing in Naples. I hitch hiked around Europe and ended up living in Germany, Britain and Canada and coming home nearly seven years later.

In 1989, I promised myself I'd travel overseas again once a year, and with a couple of exceptions to stay with friends and family in Australia, I have done that. It's just a passion I have.

So here's the list in reverse order. If  you'd like to see the pictures, click on the linked place names.

2010

My most recent trip was to Dubai, the Czech Republic, Germany and France. Pics and story will be uploaded soon.

2009

Travels in the Tardis (my little A Van).

TAGALONG - EYRE PENINSULA September

All of September I spent with a Tagalong trip round the Eyre Peninsula with the Australian Caravan Club South Australian branch. Met up in Melrose and continued round the Peninsula. The rest of the tour then headed north to the Flinders Ranges and I left for home. Check out "A Breath of Fresh Eyre".

I met some wonderful people and made some great friends on this trip as well as seeing some amazing sights. It was an all-round great time, made even better by the organisation of Geoff and Nancy Stewart who live in Tumby Bay and know the Peninsula so well. See the people.  Check out the sights.

NSW SEVEN-WEEK TRIP May/June

A seven-week trip round NSW in May and June - to the Celtic Festival in Glen Innes, the A Van Club's Tenth Annual Gathering in Coffs Harbour, visiting friends and relatives and just enjoying the beautiful NSW coastline.

2008   I bought a beautiful little A Van which I've called Matilda's Tardis. Like Doctor Who's Tardis, she's bigger on the inside than she is on the outside and she takes me through space and time. I travelled to Mildura, Lake Mungo, Minindee Lakes, Broken Hill and Silverton at the beginning of the year. Later in the year, I went to the Flinders Ranges in South Australia, Hahndorf and the Coorong.
